AirAsia rai perkhidmatan penerbangan baharu ke Ipoh

Penerbangan pertama AirAsia dari Johor Bahru ke Ipoh tiba pada hari ini, menandakan destinasi baharu dalam rangkaian meluas syarikat penerbangan tersebut.

Penerbangan AirAsia AK6082, yang dikendalikan dengan Airbus A320 berlepas dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Senai pada jam 7:30 pagi dan tiba di Lapangan Terbang Sultan Azlan Shah pada jam 8:40 pagi. Para tetamu di dalam penerbangan sulung tersebut turut disambut oleh Menteri Besar Perak YAB Tuan Ahmad Faizal Bin Dato’ Azumu, Pegawai Kewangan Negeri Dato’ Abu Bakar bin Haji Said, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelancongan, Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Negeri YB Tan Kar Hing, Pemangku Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan Malaysia Airports Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Tourism Perak Zuraida Md Taib, Pengarah Tourism Malaysia Negeri Perak Mohd Roslan Abdullah, Ahli Lembaga Pengarah AirAsia Group Berhad Dato’ Aziz Bakar dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif AirAsia Malaysia Riad Asmat.

Menteri Besar Perak YAB Tuan Ahmad Faizal Bin Dato’ Azumu berkata, “Kerajaan negeri dengar besar hati mengalu-alukan kedatangan pelawat baharu ke Perak dan saya ingin memuji usaha AirAsia dalam melancarkan laluan ini. Kami yakin bahawa perkhidmatan penerbangan terus empat kali seminggu ini akan terus meningkatkan jumlah pelawat ke negeri ini dan menyumbang kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi negeri. Pada masa akan datang, kerajaan negeri akan menubuhkan Majlis Tindakan Pelancongan Perak (PTAC). Antara tugas pertama PTAC adalah untuk mewujudkan pelan induk untuk memacu sektor pelancongan negeri. Ini termasuklah penjenamaan semula sektor pelancongan negeri, termasuk Ipoh, untuk menarik lebih ramai pengunjung domestik dan antarabangsa. Kami yakin AirAsia akan memainkan peranannya sebagai rakan strategik kami untuk mempromosikan Perak dengan lebih jauh lagi.”

Antara tarikan utama pameran tersebut kali ini adalah sebuah model BMW yang jarang ditemui milik Sultan Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Almarhum Sultan Badlishah dan kereta Pontiac Star Chief 1959, milik Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Pameran tersebut telah dirasmikan oleh Sultan Sallehuddin di Pusat Pameran Antarabangsa Mahsuri yang mana kenderaan itu dipertandingkan untuk mengintai gelaran Piala Langkawi dan Anugerah Pilihan Sultan.

Menurut Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA) Datuk Azizan Noordin yang berucap pada upacara perasmian berkata tahun ini juga menyaksikan penyertaan sebuah van Volkswagen Kombi T2 1978 yang telah menjelajah 20 negara di dua benua, meliputi perjalanan sejauh 45,000km.

Selain itu terdapat juga sebuah kereta Ford Capri 1300 GT 1971 yang telah dipandu dari Malaysia ke Sri Lanka pada 2015.

Sementara itu satu Pameran Kucing Diraja Langkawi juga diadakan buat kali pertama tahun ini bersempena pameran kereta klasik itu dan Azizan berkata acara ini merupakan usaha berterusan LADA untuk menarik lebih banyak pelancong ke Pulau Langkawi.
