HUAWEI recently celebrated Malaysia’s 61st Independence Day with more than 20,000 visitors who attended the Gegaria Festival 2018 #KitaPunya event from 31st August till 1st September. A collaboration between HUAWEI and Media Prima, the Kita Punya Malaysia Concert took place at the parking area of Istana Kehakiman, Putrajaya and featured local celebrities the likes of Bunkface, Kugiran Masdo, Misha Omar, Wany Hasrita, Stacy, and Faizal Tahir. Pameran Kereta Klasik Diraja Langkawi Jadi Tumpuan

Sebanyak lebih 65 kereta klasik telah dipamerkan di Pameran Kereta Klasik Diraja Langkawi sekali gus menarik ramai peminat kereta klasik dari seluruh dunia ke Langkawi bersempena acara tersebut. Antara tarikan utama pameran tersebut kali ini adalah sebuah model BMW yang jarang ditemui milik Sultan Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Almarhum Sultan Badlishah dan kereta Pontiac Star Chief 1959, milik Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Pameran tersebut telah dirasmikan oleh Sultan Sallehuddin di Pusat Pameran Antarabangsa Mahsuri yang mana kenderaan itu dipertandingkan untuk mengintai gelaran Piala Langkawi dan Anugerah Pilihan Sultan.

Menurut Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA) Datuk Azizan Noordin yang berucap pada upacara perasmian berkata tahun ini juga menyaksikan penyertaan sebuah van Volkswagen Kombi T2 1978 yang telah menjelajah 20 negara di dua benua, meliputi perjalanan sejauh 45,000km.

Selain itu terdapat juga sebuah kereta Ford Capri 1300 GT 1971 yang telah dipandu dari Malaysia ke Sri Lanka pada 2015.

Sementara itu satu Pameran Kucing Diraja Langkawi juga diadakan buat kali pertama tahun ini bersempena pameran kereta klasik itu dan Azizan berkata acara ini merupakan usaha berterusan LADA untuk menarik lebih banyak pelancong ke Pulau Langkawi.

Menurut kaji selidik global tahunan Agoda ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan Yang Menjengkelkan’, pelancong yang bising (57%), pelancong yang terpaku kepada peranti mereka (47%) dan mereka yang tidak sensitif dengan budaya tempatan (46%) mendahului tabiat pelancong yang paling menjengkelkan. Kumpulan besar pelancong dan penggemar selfie, masing-masing 36% dan 21%, melengkapkan lima tabiat utama yang menjengkelkan.

Pelancong dari negara China kelihatan memiliki tolak ansur tertinggi terhadap penggemar selfie, dengan hanya 12% responden China yang dijengkelkan oleh penggemar selfie berbanding rakyat Australia yang bersikap sebaliknya dengan hampir sepertiga (31%) menyifatkan penggemar selfie sebagai menjengkelkan.

Ketidakpekaan terhadap budaya tempatan adalah lebih dua kali ganda menyinggung hati bagi pelancong Singapura (63%), Filipina (61%) dan Malaysia (60%) berbanding pelancong China (21%) dan Thailand (27%). Kira-kira separuh pelancong British (54%) dan dua perlima pelancong Amerika Syarikat (41%) tidak bertolak ansur terhadap tabiat ini.

Ketagihan terhadap alat peranti

Hampir separuh (47%) daripada responden global menyifatkan pengembara yang meluangkan terlalu banyak masa pada alat peranti mereka sebagai sesuatu yang merengsakan. Berbanding pelancong dari negara lain, pelancong Vietnam mendapati mereka yang terpaku pada alat peranti mereka adalah paling menjengkelkan (59%). Pelancong Thailand, sebaliknya, memiliki sikap paling tenang (31%) terhadap penggunaan berat alat peranti semasa percutian.

Mungkin paling tidak memeranjatkan, pengembara solo meluangkan masa hampir dua jam sehari dengan alat peranti mereka semasa bercuti (117 minit) – iaitu 15% lebih lama berbanding mereka yang mengembara bersama rakan-rakan (100 minit) dan 26% lebih singkat jika bersama keluarga (86 minit). Pelancong Amerika adalah satu-satunya pengecualian untuk trend ini dan secara purata meluangkan kurang masa pada peranti mereka semasa mengembara solo (62 minit) berbanding ketika bersama keluarga (66 minit) atau kawan-kawan (86 minit).

Pelancong British pula adalah pengembara yang paling terlibat semasa mengembara bersama, mengehadkan masa terhadap alat peranti kepada sejam sahaja (63 minit) sehari; berbanding pelancong Thailand yang meluangkan masa lebih daripada dua jam sehari (125 minit) pada telefon mereka apabila mengembara bersama kawan-kawan atau keluarga.

Bagi menggalakkan pengembara memberi perhatian dan benar-benar menikmati pengalaman destinasi baharu mereka tanpa menatap paparan telefon, Agoda telah melancarkan kempen ‘Selfie Gagal’ (Selfie Fail) yang merangkumi listicles dan montaj video yang menonjolkan keburukan terlalu bergayut kepada telefon pintar. Digayakan di dalam format video ‘kegagalan epik’, pelawak Australia Ozzyman menjadi suara latar kepada video pengembara sebenar yang terlibat dengan kemalangan dan situasi bodoh akibat terlalu bergantung kepada peranti mereka berbanding persekitaran.

Fakta-fakta ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan Menyakitkan Hati’ Malaysia:

  • Tidak sensitif kepada budaya tempatan (60%); pelancong bising (56%) dan melekat pada peranti (51%) adalah tabiat pelancong Malaysia yang paling menjengkelkan.
  • Pelancong Malaysia berusia 55 tahun ke atas adalah paling tidak menyukai pelancong bising – 74% berbanding purata kaji selidik 56%
  • Pelancong berusia 18 hingga 24 tahun menghabiskan masa terbanyak pada peranti mereka setiap hari (243 minit berbanding 218 kesemua responden)

Kaji selidik Agoda ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan Yang Menjengkelkan’ dilakukan oleh firma penyelidik pasaran bebas, YouGov antara 19 dan 25 Jun 2018.
