Pameran Kereta Klasik Diraja Langkawi Jadi Tumpuan

Sebanyak lebih 65 kereta klasik telah dipamerkan di Pameran Kereta Klasik Diraja Langkawi sekali gus menarik ramai peminat kereta klasik dari seluruh dunia ke Langkawi bersempena acara tersebut. Antara tarikan utama pameran tersebut kali ini adalah sebuah model BMW yang jarang ditemui milik Sultan Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Almarhum Sultan Badlishah dan kereta Pontiac Star Chief 1959, milik Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Pameran tersebut telah dirasmikan oleh Sultan Sallehuddin di Pusat Pameran Antarabangsa Mahsuri yang mana kenderaan itu dipertandingkan untuk mengintai gelaran Piala Langkawi dan Anugerah Pilihan Sultan.

Menurut Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA) Datuk Azizan Noordin yang berucap pada upacara perasmian berkata tahun ini juga menyaksikan penyertaan sebuah van Volkswagen Kombi T2 1978 yang telah menjelajah 20 negara di dua benua, meliputi perjalanan sejauh 45,000km.

Selain itu terdapat juga sebuah kereta Ford Capri 1300 GT 1971 yang telah dipandu dari Malaysia ke Sri Lanka pada 2015.

Sementara itu satu Pameran Kucing Diraja Langkawi juga diadakan buat kali pertama tahun ini bersempena pameran kereta klasik itu dan Azizan berkata acara ini merupakan usaha berterusan LADA untuk menarik lebih banyak pelancong ke Pulau Langkawi.

MTC Gold Awards 2018, a prestigious event for the Tourism Industry organized by the Malaysia Tourism Council (MTC) for the second time this year is set to make its debut on the evening of Wednesday 10th October 2018 at Palace Of Golden Horses celebrating overall excellence in the national and international tourism industry.

The MTC Gold Award will recognize the successes of national and international travel & tourism agencies, as well as outstanding private sector companies and individuals. In
2017, Malaysia Tourism Council launched an award ceremony where 39 awardees have
been honored by the council for their excellence and support in the development of the tourism industry in Malaysia.

This prestigious award is a tribute to those who have excelled and supported the devel-
opment of tourism in Malaysia and is the highest accolade for individuals and organiza-
tions whose outstanding contributions play a significant role in the success of Malaysia’s
tourism industry.

MTC Gold Awards 2018 organized by MTC along with participation from tourism industry
players together with an independent panel of experts, more than 50 awards showcase
the best class of national tourism industry, will be awarded in front of more than 1000 in-
dustry professionals. The categories will include 27 categories such as Education Tourism, Agro Tourism, Medical Tourism, Art & Culture Tourism and Heritage Tourism.

Each judge will be a member of the leading travel community, with the right experience
and know how to select the very first MTC Gold Award recipient. We have invited Tun Dr.
Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia as our Guest of Honor to deliver the key-note address and to officiate the MTC Gold Awards 2018 ceremony.

Pendedahan tabiat menjengkelkan semasa melancong

Daripada kaji selidik globalnya yang dijalankan mendapati ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan yang Menjengkelkan’’ dan menggesa pelancong supaya tidak leka dengan telefon, sebaliknya bersikap lebih peka.

Dengan percutian musim panas yang sedang berlangsung sekarang, Agoda, salah satu platform tempahan penginapan dalam talian (OTA) paling pesat berkembang, telah menyoal pelancong mengenai tabiat yang paling menjengkelkan semasa mereka bercuti.

Menurut kaji selidik global tahunan Agoda ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan Yang Menjengkelkan’, pelancong yang bising (57%), pelancong yang terpaku kepada peranti mereka (47%) dan mereka yang tidak sensitif dengan budaya tempatan (46%) mendahului tabiat pelancong yang paling menjengkelkan. Kumpulan besar pelancong dan penggemar selfie, masing-masing 36% dan 21%, melengkapkan lima tabiat utama yang menjengkelkan.

Pelancong dari negara China kelihatan memiliki tolak ansur tertinggi terhadap penggemar selfie, dengan hanya 12% responden China yang dijengkelkan oleh penggemar selfie berbanding rakyat Australia yang bersikap sebaliknya dengan hampir sepertiga (31%) menyifatkan penggemar selfie sebagai menjengkelkan.

Ketidakpekaan terhadap budaya tempatan adalah lebih dua kali ganda menyinggung hati bagi pelancong Singapura (63%), Filipina (61%) dan Malaysia (60%) berbanding pelancong China (21%) dan Thailand (27%). Kira-kira separuh pelancong British (54%) dan dua perlima pelancong Amerika Syarikat (41%) tidak bertolak ansur terhadap tabiat ini.

Ketagihan terhadap alat peranti

Hampir separuh (47%) daripada responden global menyifatkan pengembara yang meluangkan terlalu banyak masa pada alat peranti mereka sebagai sesuatu yang merengsakan. Berbanding pelancong dari negara lain, pelancong Vietnam mendapati mereka yang terpaku pada alat peranti mereka adalah paling menjengkelkan (59%). Pelancong Thailand, sebaliknya, memiliki sikap paling tenang (31%) terhadap penggunaan berat alat peranti semasa percutian.

Mungkin paling tidak memeranjatkan, pengembara solo meluangkan masa hampir dua jam sehari dengan alat peranti mereka semasa bercuti (117 minit) – iaitu 15% lebih lama berbanding mereka yang mengembara bersama rakan-rakan (100 minit) dan 26% lebih singkat jika bersama keluarga (86 minit). Pelancong Amerika adalah satu-satunya pengecualian untuk trend ini dan secara purata meluangkan kurang masa pada peranti mereka semasa mengembara solo (62 minit) berbanding ketika bersama keluarga (66 minit) atau kawan-kawan (86 minit).

Pelancong British pula adalah pengembara yang paling terlibat semasa mengembara bersama, mengehadkan masa terhadap alat peranti kepada sejam sahaja (63 minit) sehari; berbanding pelancong Thailand yang meluangkan masa lebih daripada dua jam sehari (125 minit) pada telefon mereka apabila mengembara bersama kawan-kawan atau keluarga.

Bagi menggalakkan pengembara memberi perhatian dan benar-benar menikmati pengalaman destinasi baharu mereka tanpa menatap paparan telefon, Agoda telah melancarkan kempen ‘Selfie Gagal’ (Selfie Fail) yang merangkumi listicles dan montaj video yang menonjolkan keburukan terlalu bergayut kepada telefon pintar. Digayakan di dalam format video ‘kegagalan epik’, pelawak Australia Ozzyman menjadi suara latar kepada video pengembara sebenar yang terlibat dengan kemalangan dan situasi bodoh akibat terlalu bergantung kepada peranti mereka berbanding persekitaran.

Fakta-fakta ‘Tabiat Pengembaraan Menyakitkan Hati’ Malaysia:

  • Tidak sensitif kepada budaya tempatan (60%); pelancong bising (56%) dan melekat pada peranti (51%) adalah tabiat pelancong Malaysia yang paling menjengkelkan.
  • Pelancong Malaysia berusia 55 tahun ke atas adalah paling tidak menyukai pelancong bising – 74% berbanding purata kaji selidik 56%
  • Pelancong berusia 18 hingga 24 tahun menghabiskan masa terbanyak pada peranti mereka setiap hari (243 minit berbanding 218 kesemua responden)

Perbadanan Putrajaya, the local authority which administrates the Federal Territory of Putrajaya proposed three days to discover the city with a lot of activities planned out to the amusement of members of the media.

The 3day 2night programme received support and participation from social media influencers and members of the media both local and international from Indonesia, France, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia. It was a fun-packed week-end centered on the theme Travel, Discover, Capture. The objective of the theme was to enable the participants to further discover the sights in Putrajaya and what it has to offer as a tourist destination.

An Interview session was carried out with the President of Perbadanan Putrajaya, YBhg. Datuk Seri Haji Hasim bin Haji Ismail at Perbadanan Putrajaya office.

The participants of Travelogue Escape Putrajaya 2.0 were kept occupied with a night cruise, visit to the historical monument, food tasting extreme and wild fun-packed challenges. The extreme activities that were planned out during the 3-day programme were to serve as platforms of amusement and excitement for the participants.

The resulting articles, blogs, videos and photographs written/made by the participants of the programme will then be a very good way to promote Putrajaya as one of the tourist destinations in Malaysia.

Taiwan Excellence Menyerlah di ARCHIDEX 2018

Taiwan Excellence, sebagai simbol kualiti yang mengiktirafkan produk-produk berinovasi keluaran Taiwan telah turut mengambil bahagian dalam Pameran Seni Bina, Hiasan Dalaman Bangunan dan Pembinaan Antarabangsa Malaysia (ARCHIDEX) yang berlangsung pada 4 – 7, Julai. Pavilion Taiwan Excellence berjaya menghimpunkan seramai 25 pengeluar Taiwan dan mempamerkan 69 jenis produk-produk unggul termasuk pelbagai penyelesaian yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan pintar, bandar pintar berkualiti tinggi sekali gus meningkatkan imej pengeluaran Taiwan di samping menerokai peluang perdagangan di Malaysia.

Taiwan Excellence adalah pensijilan rasmi Taiwan untuk produk yang telah lulus dan mematuhi standard tinggi dalam penyelidikan & pembangunan (R & D), reka bentuk, kualiti, pemasaran dan aspek inovasi dan kreativiti yang lain. Simbol berprestij ini telah wujud selama 26 tahun sejak 1992. Taiwan Excellence menampilkan tema “PINTAR” dalam ARCHIDEX tahun ini. Tiga kategori produk utama yang dipamerkan di Pavilion Taiwan Excellence merangkumi ‘Pembinaan’, ‘Pejabat’, dan ‘Kelengkapan Rumah’. Wakil Pejabat Ekonomi dan Budaya Taipei di Malaysia, Yang Berbahagia James Chang Chi-ping menegaskan bahawa, selaras dengan perkembangan barangan pintar berasaskan Internet (Internet-of Things) masa kini, Kehidupan Pintar telah menjadi suatu fenomena yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Memandangkan Taiwan memainkan peranan yang amat penting dalam sektor informasi dan komunikasi di seluruh dunia sementara memiliki pengeluaran produk-produk dan pelbagai penyelesaian unggul yang lumayan, penyertaan Taiwan Excellence dalam acara pemasaran dan promosi seperti ARCHIDEX sememangnya memberi manfaat kepada peniaga-peniaga Malaysia khasnya dari aspek inovasi Taiwan.

Menurut Encik Foo Chek Lee, Pengerusi Persatuan Kontraktor Binaan Malaysia (Master Builders Association Malaysia, MBAM), kerajaan Malaysia mengambil inisiatif proaktif dalam hal pembangunan Bandar Pintar, antaranya dari segi pembinaan infrastruktur sehingga aplikasinya sekali gus mewujudkan banyak peluang perdagangan kepada kontraktor-kontraktor tempatan. Walaupun konsep Rumah Pintar (Smart Home) telah lama diperkenalkan di Malaysia, namun usaha yang berterusan, perlaksanaan dan tindakan yang lebih intensif diperlukan untuk menjadikan konsep tersebut sebagai teknologi utama. Beliau turut menjelaskan bahawa pencapaian Taiwan dalam penyelidikan dan pembangunan (R&D) produk serta keupayaannya dalam inovasi produk adalah amat membangggakan. Sekiranya kedua-dua buah negara ini berpeluang bekerjasama menerokai dan memperkembangkan teknik aplikasi intelektual, maka kadar perkembangan potensi Malaysia pasti akan dapat dipertingkatkan lagi.

Kehidupan Pintar. Tumpuan Terkini

Bagi menarik minat dan memperkenalkan teknologi pintar Taiwan kepada peniaga-peniaga Malaysia, Pavilion Taiwan Excellence menganjurkan forum bertajuk “Kehidupan Pintar Bersama Taiwan Excellence” pada 5 Julai. Empat syarikat teknologi pintar jenama terkemuka dari Taiwan, termasuk D-Link, TUMÄ, Ardomus, dan SoftChef, dijemput untuk berkongsi pandangan serta kepakaran masing-masing dalam kehidupan pintar.

Forum tersebut turut menarik kehadiran perwakilan dari Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia, agensi-agensi harta tanah, kontraktor-kontraktor sistem pembinaan, institut pengajian tinggi tempatan dan sebagainya. Menurut salah seorang kontraktor sistem perumahan tempatan, Malaysia telah merancang untuk membina dan mewujudkan penggunaan Internet serta Kehidupan Pintar. Walau bagaimanapun, teknik untuk mengintegrasikan nilai tambah perkhidmatan sistem masih berada di peringkat awal. Manakala, Taiwan pula dilihat cemerlang dalam sektor informasi dan komunikasi. Pencapaian mereka dalam inovasi teknologi pintar, keupayaan mereka untuk mengintegrasi sistem serta model perdagangan yang kukuh dan canggih pasti akan membantu Malaysia dalam usaha memperkembangkan Kehidupan Pintar.

Bergerak Pintar dengan Taiwan Excellence

Semasa Sidang Media ‘Malaysia Pendukung Taiwan Excellence’ yang berlangsung pada 5 Julai, Amber Chia peragawati dan model terkenal Malaysia telah tampil mempersembahkan beberapa produk kehidupan pintar Taiwan Excellent seperti dispenser air kawalan sentuhan, lampu kawalan telefon bimbit, penyedut ajaib dan lain-lain produk pintar.

Selain itu, Transcend dari Taiwan menaja 18 buah kamera badan (Body Cam) kepada Perbadanan Putrajaya dengan kehadiran Duta Besar James Chang Chi-ping yang menyaksikan majlis rasmi tersebut. Produk pintar kamera badan tersebut yang dilengkapi dengan Wi-Fi dalaman dan fungsi rakaman video merupakan kelengkapan pengawalan keselamatan yang penting. James Chang menjelaskan bahawa jalinan mesra di antara Taiwan Excellence dengan Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya yang merupakan pusat pentadbiran kerajaan Malaysia, membuktikan jalinan hubungan kerjasama pada masa kini dan akan datang.
