A showcase of 11 Theme Pavilions across 8 major industris
The Taiwan Expo 2017 in Malaysia will run from 9th to 11th November this year as a finale of a multi-cities tour. In addition to featuring more than 5,000 high-tech and high-quality products from Taiwan, there will also be a series of business matching, seminars, cultural performance and other exciting activities designed to showcase Taiwanese industries and culture to Malaysians. This is the first time a Taiwanese event of this scale will be held in Malaysia, and visitors can expect to see 164 participating companies across 240 booths.
Since the introduction of its New Southbound Policy, Taiwan has been aggressively expanding into the Southeast Asia market with great results. The Taiwan Expo is one of the many promotional events and kicked off in Indonesia in May, Vietnam in June, and the Philippines in September before ending the tour in Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Centre (KLCC) in a highly anticipated finale.
Halal Beauty Showcase Potential
“BEST for MY Life! Beauty, E-commerce, Smart, Talent”, theme for the Expo this year will feature 11 theme pavilions and 8 major industry focuses covering five main pillars designed to strengthen Taiwan’s image as a technology powerhouse: Beauty & Halal, E- commerce & Business, Smart & Technology, Talent & MICE, and Culture & Taste.
In view of Malaysia’s position as a global leader in Halal certification, the Expo is bringing in a large selection of Halal beauty products and specialty food to highlight the potential of the Halal industry in Taiwan and there will be launches of new beauty products at the expo.
Business seminars lined up for the expo will cover four key topics including Taiwan Green Product Presentation, A Brand New Digital Economy Internet Business Conference, Taiwan Halal Products Presentation, and Taiwan Excellence Seminar – Developments and applications of Intelligent Transport System.
Seeking Collaborations, Deepening Relationships
In order to deepen bilateral relations between Taiwan and Malaysia and strengthen the exchange and cultivation of industrial talents, a Contact Taiwan Global Talent Recruitment Zone will be set up to facilitate talent recruitment and interested students can register at the event grounds. According to figures, there are nearly 30,000 foreign
students from the 10 ASEAN nations studying in Taiwan as of 2016 and Malaysia tops the list with 16,000 students.
Paving Future Competitiveness through Creative Technology
Visitors can also expect to see more than 23 innovative brands showcasing their solutions relating to the-internet-of-things, innovative digital technology, Virtual Reality and consumer electronics. Also present at the Expo are Taiwan’s largest APP developer Chocolabs, world’s biggest caller-ID provider Whoscall, mobile solar cell car as well as numerous Taiwan gifts that have always been a crowd favorite. df
Taiwan is also renowned for its highly creative consumer items and specialty food which will be highlights of the expo. Amongst the exhibits which offer a unique blend of lifestyle and fine arts are Ferro-Carbon FECA Series of household suction hook and the beautiful Peacock Spreading Its Tail Feathers by Giuseppe Gastiglione made using 99% pure gold.
The Taiwan Expo 2017 in Malaysia will run from 9th (Thursday) to 11th (Saturday) November 2017 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Centre (KLCC).
